I'm usually pretty careful with my belongings but I recently broke the screen on my new smart phone. It was resting in my lap and I stood up before remembering where it was resting. By the time I recognized my mistake, it was already a wrap. My new phone had hit the asphalt and in one move, my new screen was cracked. I'm not talking about a surface defect, I'm talking mosaic effect, struggling to read my emails crackled. It was so unpretty; it reflected one moment that I just could not get back. I was so embarrased as the cracks painted a picture of the irresponsibility of one moment. I walked around ashamed, minimizing the use of my phone public because every time I saw, I remembered that I messed up. It wasn't until I called my provider and recognized the power of the insurance that I had purchased that things changed. Because I had the covering of insurance, I qualified for a replacement.
The point is this, we have all made mistakes and done things that we are not proud of. You could be defined by one moment (or several), one mistake (or a pattern of errors). The "cracks" in your name have crippled you and maybe you don't think you qualify for greatness or a new start. The blessings is not in trying to hide the cracks. The victory is your assurance in a source bigger than you that can replace everything that's cracked.
Have you read the fine print of the contract?
